say my name [2018]

Face tracking on video recorded in 1999, from the catacombs in Paris. This is another entry in a remediation of older video from my archive meant for screens. In this project, the system is using facial tracking in real-time and simply recognizing the image as having features that resemble a face and then moving on. The frantic image tagging or "naming" is a quiet act of forensics, a visual metaphor for a rumination on mortality, disappearance, remembering and longing.
